UAE, Paraguay Presidents explore ways to strengthen bilateral ties

emirates7 - President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Excellency Santiago Peña, President of the Republic of Paraguay, held discussions today on strengthening bilateral ties to advance their countries’ shared goals for sustainable development and prosperity.

During an official meeting at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, held as part of President Peña’s visit to the UAE, the two leaders explored ways to boost cooperation across various sectors. These included development, trade, the economy, renewable energy, food security, and climate action.

Both sides reiterated their mutual commitment to deepening bilateral relations and leveraging opportunities to expand collaboration in areas of shared interest.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed highlighted the UAE’s ongoing efforts to broaden its economic and development partnerships, particularly with Latin American countries like Paraguay. He emphasized the importance of fostering constructive international cooperation in pursuit of collective growth and progress.

The leaders also exchanged views on key regional and international issues, with a focus on the Middle East. They underscored the need to intensify efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability both regionally and globally.

President Peña expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and commended the UAE’s remarkable development, attributing it to the leadership’s forward-looking vision and strategic direction.

The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Faisal Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Bannai, Dr. Al Saghira Wabran Alahbabi, and several other senior officials, along with members of the Paraguayan delegation.
