Ahmed bin Saeed attends graduation of 300 students from RIT-Dubai

emirates7 - Under the patronage and presence of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), Rochester Institute of Technology - Dubai (RIT Dubai) held its 14th graduation ceremony, awarding degrees to over 300 students from 15 bachelor’s and master’s programs.

H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed emphasized that the university exemplifies a successful integration between educational institutions and economic zones, contributing to Dubai’s knowledge-driven economy. He highlighted that the graduates are the foundation for a future defined by excellence and global leadership, stressing that investing in national talent is crucial to achieving the UAE Centennial 2071 objectives.

Abdulrahman Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of RIT Dubai’s Board of Directors, remarked that the university has become a leading institution supporting Dubai’s economic and social ambitions. He pointed out the university’s high-quality academic programs, which align with market demands and encourage innovation and knowledge, underscoring its role as a comprehensive educational system dedicated to talent development and excellence.

Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Executive Chairman of DIEZ, noted that the university plays a vital role in creating an integrated economic and knowledge ecosystem by preparing future leaders and innovators in priority sectors for the emirate, including digital transformation, smart energy, and sustainable urban development.

Dr. Yousef Al-Assaf, President of RIT Dubai, announced plans to introduce new academic programs in fields such as artificial intelligence, integrative design, health informatics, health management, advertising, and public relations, responding to changing market needs. He affirmed the university’s ongoing commitment to academic innovation and ensuring every RIT Dubai graduate becomes a representative of excellence, knowledge, and sustainability.

Since its founding in 2010, RIT Dubai has graduated over 2,100 students from its bachelor’s, master’s, and diploma programs.
