emirates7 - The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), through its Sharjah Exports Development Centre (SEDC), is participating in the fourth edition of the "Make it in the Emirates" forum.
As part of its involvement, the Chamber has launched a dedicated platform showcasing representatives from Sharjah-based industrial companies. This initiative aims to spotlight investment prospects within the emirate’s thriving industrial sector, which currently accounts for approximately 35 percent of the UAE’s total manufacturing capacity.
The platform also seeks to keep Sharjah’s entrepreneurs and investors up to date with global industrial trends and assist them in identifying promising export markets.
The SCCI delegation includes Chairman Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Second Vice Chairman Waleed AbdelRahman BuKhatir, and Director-General Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi. Also attending are Jamal Saeed Bouzanjal, Director of Corporate Communication; Ali Al Jari, Director of SEDC; and Lalu Samuel, Chairman of the Industry Sector Business Group’s Representative Committee at SCCI.
During the forum, Al Owais held a series of high-level meetings with government officials and industrial leaders. Discussions centered on driving investment in advanced industries, strengthening industrial resilience, and empowering Emirati talent by connecting them to opportunities within the industrial and advanced tech sectors.
There was also a strong focus on supporting startups to foster industrial growth and enhance the global competitiveness of UAE-based companies.
The SCCI delegation presented Sharjah’s key industrial advantages, such as its state-of-the-art infrastructure, strategic location, pro-business regulations, and attractive investment incentives, all of which position the emirate as a regional manufacturing powerhouse.
Al Owais stressed that SCCI’s participation in the forum is part of its continued mission to elevate Sharjah’s standing on the global industrial stage and reinforce its role as a hub for manufacturing and exports.
He reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to expanding the global reach of Sharjah’s industrial base through tailored business services, investment facilitation, and the organization of forums, trade shows, delegations, and international trade missions.
Ali Al Jari added that the Chamber’s involvement reflects its focus on advancing investment in Sharjah’s innovation-driven industrial sectors.
