H.B. Fuller opens manufacturing hub in Ras Al Khaimah to serve MENA region

emirates7 - H.B. Fuller, a global leader in adhesives, has officially opened its new regional manufacturing facility in Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), reaffirming its dedication to innovation, sustainability, and regional growth across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The inauguration ceremony was attended by RAKEZ Managing Director Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, H.B. Fuller President and CEO Celeste Mastin, and more than 50 key partners and suppliers, marking a significant step forward in the company’s regional expansion strategy.

Situated in the Al Hamra Industrial Zone of RAKEZ, the 15,000 m² plant is equipped with cutting-edge process controls, advanced mixing systems, and bulk storage tanks. The facility is specifically designed to manufacture high-performance adhesives and sealants for construction-related uses, including building envelopes, roofing, infrastructure, and mechanical systems. It also has the flexibility to scale operations in the future.

Celeste Mastin noted, “This facility represents a pivotal development in our mission to support the region’s fast-evolving construction sector. With its strategic location, we can now serve customers more effectively. Our presence here highlights our long-term investment in the region, manufacturing reliable, high-quality solutions locally for local markets.”

The decision to base operations in Ras Al Khaimah was driven by the emirate’s strategic location, strong infrastructure, and pro-business environment, all of which align with H.B. Fuller’s broader goal of enhancing supply chain resilience and expanding in high-growth regions.

RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad stated, “H.B. Fuller’s expansion reflects the strong confidence international manufacturers place in Ras Al Khaimah. With manufacturing contributing about 30% of our GDP, the sector remains a cornerstone of our economic growth and diversification. We’ve cultivated a dynamic industrial ecosystem that caters to a wide array of sectors—from construction to advanced technologies—making the emirate an ideal base for companies targeting the MENA market. At RAKEZ, we are committed to enabling this growth through customized support, streamlined setup processes, and a business-friendly climate.”

The new facility underscores Ras Al Khaimah’s emergence as a preferred destination for industrial investment. With incentives such as full foreign ownership, favorable tax structures, and setup costs up to 10% lower than the regional norm, the emirate has established itself as one of the most industrialized in the UAE. Manufacturing now accounts for a third of Ras Al Khaimah’s GDP.

As RAKEZ continues to draw top-tier manufacturers, it reinforces the emirate’s status as a progressive and sustainable industrial hub, poised for continued growth and innovation.
