Mansour bin Zayed attends luncheon hosted by Sultan bin Hamdan

emirates7 - His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, attended a lunch banquet held in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi. The event was hosted by Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President and Chairman of the Camel Racing Federation, and was graced by several prominent camel owners from across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations.

During the gathering, His Highness engaged in friendly discussions with the guests, highlighting the significance of camel racing and the vital role played by the “Al Wathba Final 2025” annual closing festival in enhancing the prestige of this traditional sport. Widely recognized as one of the most important events in the region, the festival continues to see notable success on multiple fronts.

His Highness also inspected the newly inaugurated 8-kilometer camel racing track in Al Wathba, launched in conjunction with the opening of the Al Wathba Final 2025. Constructed within just 60 days under H.H.’s direct supervision, the track represents a major milestone that paves the way for further development of the sport.

Commending the new facility, H.H. emphasized that the sustained growth and popularity of camel racing are due to the unwavering support and vision of the UAE’s leadership. Their backing has helped establish camel racing as a cornerstone of Emirati heritage and a cherished tradition among enthusiasts.

The reception was enriched by traditional musical performances and folk dances presented by cultural troupes in honor of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed’s visit. These vibrant displays of heritage expressed deep national pride and extended a warm, celebratory welcome.
