RAKEZ concludes roadacross India to strengthen bilateral business ties

emirates7 - The Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) recently concluded a successful weeklong roadacross three key Indian cities—Lucknow, Vadodara, and Coimbatore. Organized in partnership with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) and supported by the Federation of Gujarat Industries, Bharat Startup and Innovation Society, and The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association, the initiative aimed to unlock new business prospects and strengthen bilateral ties between Indian and UAE enterprises.

During the roadshow, RAKEZ representatives conducted over 150 one-on-one meetings with senior leaders from various sectors, including building materials, auto components, chemicals, logistics, manufacturing, technology, infrastructure, healthcare, education, and professional services. These engagements were designed to promote cross-border collaboration and discuss opportunities for joint ventures, sector-focused partnerships, and enhanced UAE-India trade relations.

RAKEZ used the platform to present Ras Al Khaimah as a highly competitive business hub, emphasizing its investor-friendly environment, strategic location, attractive incentives, and robust connectivity to regional and international markets. The team also connected with members of business chambers, trade groups, and the media to foster dialogue and explore areas of mutual growth.

Commenting on the initiative, RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad stated, “India remains a vital partner for us, and this roadreaffirms our dedication to nurturing this strategic relationship. With more than 8,300 Indian businesses operating in RAKEZ, our focus is on providing a scalable platform for growth, global outreach, and business efficiency. These outreach missions help forge enduring partnerships that benefit both the UAE and Indian economies.”

Indian entrepreneurs continue to be a dominant presence within RAKEZ, accounting for the majority of its 30,000 registered businesses. They are particularly attracted by the zone’s cost-effective services, flexible setup options, and low operating expenses—an appealing value proposition for startups and established enterprises alike.

Ras Al Khaimah itself offers a thriving ecosystem for investment, backed by world-class infrastructure, a diverse and resilient economy, excellent quality of life, and strong international connectivity. The emirate's pro-business government ensures a smooth setup process and adaptive support systems that make it easier for businesses of all sizes to succeed.

RAKEZ’s Indian business network includes prominent companies such as Xpro India Limited (part of the Birla Group), Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, Royal Gulf Industries, MSSL, KnightRider Technologies FZC, and Dabur Naturelle. The economic zone has also built strong institutional partnerships with key Indian bodies like the Indian Chamber of Commerce, the All India Association of Industries, the UAE-India CEPA Council, and the Confederation of Indian Industry.

To support ongoing engagement with Indian businesses, RAKEZ operates a dedicated branch office in Mumbai, offering localized support and direct access for companies aiming to establish or expand their presence in the UAE.

By continuously fostering ties with Indian enterprises and creating platforms for collaboration, RAKEZ is solidifying its role as the preferred entry point for Indian businesses into the Middle East and a springboard for global expansion.
