Dubai Chambers showcases investment opportunities to 20 Kazakh companies

emirates7 - Dubai Chambers recently hosted a delegation of companies from Kazakhstan, led by Nursultan Shokanov, Chairman of the Regional Council of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty, at its headquarters. During the visit, the delegation was briefed on Dubai’s competitive advantages, investment opportunities, and the potential for enhancing economic and trade relations between the two nations.

The delegation included CEOs and senior leaders from 20 Kazakh companies spanning sectors such as real estate development, construction, agriculture, IT, and education. To foster stronger ties, a group of UAE-based companies from various industries also attended the meeting, aiming to boost bilateral trade and joint investments. Several B2B meetings were organized between members of the visiting delegation and local businesses and investors.

Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, remarked, “Dubai offers a wide range of opportunities across vital sectors and serves as a platform for growth and success for companies from Kazakhstan and beyond. The emirate’s favorable investment climate and numerous advantages make it an ideal hub for businesses aiming to expand regionally and globally.”

He further emphasized, “We are dedicated to strengthening the partnership between Dubai and Kazakhstan’s business communities to support our mutual development goals. Dubai Chambers is committed to assisting Kazakh businesses and investors in leveraging Dubai’s dynamic environment and forming new partnerships that will help increase bilateral trade and investment.”

This meeting comes in the context of growing trade relations between Dubai and Kazakhstan, with non-oil bilateral trade increasing by 43% year-on-year, reaching AED20 billion in 2024.

The rising interest from Kazakh businesses in Dubai is also evident in the 247 new Kazakh companies joining the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in 2024, bringing the total number of active Kazakh members to 691, a 34.4% increase from the previous year.

As part of efforts to further strengthen these economic ties, Dubai International Chamber opened a new office in Almaty in 2024. This office plays a vital role in supporting the Kazakh business community and attracting companies and investors from Kazakhstan and Central Asia to Dubai.
