emirates7 - The 25th IUHPE World Conference on Health Promotion officially opened today in Abu Dhabi, centered around the theme “Settings for Planetary Health and Wellbeing.”

Jointly organized by the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE) and the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC), the conference aims to shed light on pressing global health issues.

Spanning four days, the event will tackle real-world approaches to combating key health challenges, including non-communicable diseases, mental health concerns, climate change, and emergency preparedness.

A dynamic agenda of keynote addresses, expert panels, hands-on workshops, and networking sessions will foster collaboration between researchers and practitioners, driving forward innovative solutions to complex health issues affecting communities globally.

More than 2,000 delegates—ranging from public health leaders and policymakers to international experts and educators—have gathered for this landmark event.

The opening ceremony featured remarks from representatives of the host organizations and global partners, highlighting the importance of this international platform for sharing knowledge and strengthening global cooperation in the face of mounting health threats.
