UAE-Kuwait ties deep, continuously evolving: Ambassador

emirates7 - Dr. Matar Hamed Al Neyadi, the UAE Ambassador to Kuwait, emphasized the enduring and ever-growing ties between the UAE and Kuwait, attributing their strength to the dedicated support of both nations' leadership.

Speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) during the Arab Media Forum in Kuwait, Al Neyadi highlighted that the frequent high-level exchanges between the two countries demonstrate the deep-rooted nature of their relationship.

He referenced the fifth session of the UAE-Kuwait Joint Higher Committee, held last September in Abu Dhabi, where multiple agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed across various sectors. These developments, he noted, mirror the shared goals of both countries to achieve further development, progress, and prosperity.

Al Neyadi also remarked on the increase in non-oil trade between the UAE and Kuwait during the first quarter of this year compared to the same period last year. He credited this growth to rising interest from investors, entrepreneurs, and the private sector in tapping into mutual investment opportunities across a range of industries.

Expressing his pride in the UAE being named Guest of Honour at the 20th Arab Media Forum, Al Neyadi noted the UAE’s remarkable achievements in the media field. He stressed the country's conviction that media plays a crucial role in fostering a knowledge-based, innovation-driven society and in enhancing the UAE’s standing on both regional and global levels.

“The UAE’s presence at the forum, represented by a distinguished media delegation from the public and private sectors and led by Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office, underlines the country's strong commitment to this important event,” he said. He added that the UAE's engagement in the forum contributes significantly to shaping future trends in Arab and international media.

This year, the UAE is honored as the Guest of Honour at the Arab Media Forum, with an influential delegation comprising representatives from both governmental and private media outlets. This acknowledgment reflects the UAE’s leading status and its dynamic, forward-looking media sector aligned with global progress.

Additionally, the forum features collaborative discussions with the Arab Thought and Culture Forum in Abu Dhabi, focusing on the transformative role of technology in shaping modern media platforms.
