Media leaders: UAE’s role as 'Guest of Honour' at Arab Media Forum reflects progress of its advanced

emirates7 - UAE media officials and leaders affirmed that the country’s participation as the ‘’Guest of Honour'' at the Arab Media Forum, hosted by the State of Kuwait, showcases the evolution of the UAE’s media sector, which is increasingly based on advanced technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) in content creation.

In statements to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), they emphasised that the UAE Media Pavilion at the Forum offers a visually impressive experience for participants and visitors, who expressed admiration for its advancement and described it as a pioneering model.

Fadheela Al Muaini, President of the UAE Journalists Association, expressed pride in the UAE’s strong participation in the Arab Media Forum, noting it reflects the prestigious standing of the national media. She praised the UAE’s active involvement through its media professionals, intellectuals, and politicians, and thanked Kuwait for its outstanding cooperation and for enabling such an impactful presence. She stressed that the UAE’s participation portrayed the media sector as a unified team working passionately for the nation.

Mahmoud Al Rasheed, General Manager of the Arabian Radio Network, stated that the UAE’s delegation — comprising high-level media representatives from both public and private sectors — highlights the nation’s commitment to presenting its progressive media model to the world and sharing experiences with peers. He added that being chosen as the Guest of Honour affirms the UAE media sector’s excellence, which operates in a highly advanced, tech-driven environment, making the country a hub for global media institutions.

Majid Al Suwaidi, Director General of Dubai Media City, Dubai Production City, and Dubai Studio City, remarked that the UAE’s participation as Guest of Honour reflects the foresight and correct direction of the country’s leadership in envisioning the future—particularly in media. He highlighted how strategic foresight over the past 20 years has transformed the UAE into a base for leading global media entities, including over 4,000 media companies and more than 40,000 specialists in Dubai Media City.

Mohammed Ghanem, Director General of Ras Al Khaimah Broadcasting Authority, expressed pride in the UAE’s role as Guest of Honour, noting that this recognition came after years of achievements, investments in advanced infrastructure, and leadership in AI technologies. He emphasised that under the wise leadership, the UAE media sector has become a unique model of advancement, professionalism, and reliability, making it a preferred destination for international media companies.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Ali, CEO of Trends Research & Advisory, said the UAE’s distinguished participation and strong institutional presence at the Forum underscore the country’s prominent media status and its ability to influence through modern technology. He attributed the progress of UAE media to the guidance and support of the country’s leadership, noting that the UAE Media Pavilion offered a groundbreaking visual experience by chronicling the media journey using innovative AI techniques. He also highlighted the bright image portrayed by the involvement of UAE youth in this vital sector.

Abdulrahim Al Bateeh Al Nuaimi, CEO of Marketing and Communications Department at Abu Dhabi Media Network, emphasised the UAE’s ongoing commitment to participating in the Arab Media Forum, especially this edition where it was hosted as the Guest of Honor. He said this honour reflects the significant development of the UAE’s media, built on advanced technology and AI—strong indicators of its readiness for a leading role in the sector.

He noted the UAE media sector’s continuous progress, evident in its sophisticated infrastructure and modern tools for content creation. The pavilion, he added, served as a cutting-edge platform showcasing the UAE media journey through AI applications and captivated attendees with its remarkable presentation of the country’s experience in media and technology.
