emirates7 - Today, UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, in Abu Dhabi. The leaders held discussions focused on their strong bilateral relations and explored opportunities to enhance cooperation across various sectors, aiming to benefit both nations and promote the welfare of their people.

The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and global issues, particularly the latest developments in the Middle East, and discussed efforts to address these challenges.

The meeting was attended by key figures, including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE; His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser; and His Highness Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior. Other prominent attendees included His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, and several senior officials from both the UAE and Qatar.

In honor of the Emir of Qatar, President Sheikh Mohamed hosted a luncheon for him and his delegation.

Earlier in the day, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani arrived in Abu Dhabi for his visit, where he was warmly received by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and a group of senior UAE officials.
