Hamdan bin Mohammed tours Arabian Travel Market 2025

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, toured the 2025 edition of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM). He was joined by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline and Group.

During the visit, Sheikh Hamdan praised the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, for laying a robust foundation that positions the UAE as a global hub for innovation, strategic partnerships, and sustainable growth across key sectors.

Held at the Dubai World Trade Centre and running through May 1, ATM 2025 has drawn approximately 2,800 exhibitors from 161 countries, highlighting its prominence as a major event in the global tourism industry.

Sheikh Hamdan noted the Arabian Travel Market's vital role in linking international markets and shaping the future of travel. He emphasized that the exhibitions and conferences sector significantly contributes to the UAE’s economy by attracting investments, encouraging knowledge-sharing, and generating high-value opportunities across various industries.

He also highlighted Dubai’s ongoing investments in world-class infrastructure, flexible regulations, and global partnerships to strengthen the exhibitions sector, thereby boosting sustainable economic development and enhancing the city’s global competitiveness. Dubai remains committed to becoming a leading hub for talent, ideas, and innovation.

During his tour, Sheikh Hamdan visited numerous country pavilions showcasing tourism services and hospitality innovations. He reiterated ATM’s importance as a platform for stakeholders to connect, collaborate, and explore new growth opportunities in travel and tourism.

Other dignitaries accompanying him included Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications; Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism; and Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Almarri, Director-General of Dubai’s General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs.

ATM 2025 has witnessed a notable increase in global participation, with exhibitor numbers rising by 20% from Asia, 15% from the Middle East, over 12% from Europe, and steady growth from Africa and the Americas.

With the theme *‘Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity’*, this year’s event focuses on innovation, startups, and cross-sector collaboration as driving forces behind the future of tourism.

Expected to welcome 55,000 attendees, ATM 2025 gathers professionals from across the travel spectrum, including leisure, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), luxury, and corporate travel. Organised in partnership with the Dubai World Trade Centre, it is supported by key partners such as the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, Emirates, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and Al Rais Travel.

The event features over 200 expert speakers delivering more than 70 sessions across the Global Stage, Future Stage, and the new Business Events Stage. The conference programme addresses industry challenges and emerging opportunities, with discussions on topics such as the future of aviation, hospitality trends, sustainability efforts, and the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in the travel sector.
