DXB receives Level 4 ‘Transformation’ Airport Carbon Accreditation from ACI

emirates7 - Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, accepted the prestigious Level 4 “Transformation” Airport Carbon Accreditation from Airports Council International (ACI) during the ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East Regional Assembly.

Officially granted this month, the accreditation solidifies Dubai International (DXB)’s status among a distinguished group of global airports recognized for achieving absolute emissions reductions and spearheading collaborative efforts within the aviation sector to drive sustainable change.

Aligned with Earth Day, this milestone underscores Dubai Airports’ ongoing commitment to supporting the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 objective. The organization has implemented a robust, long-term decarbonization roadmap, already in motion through a range of impactful sustainability initiatives.

These efforts include improving energy efficiency throughout airport facilities, deploying the region’s largest rooftop solar power system at Terminal 2, establishing waste-to-compost programs, and converting airside vehicles to run on biodiesel-blended fuel.
