Dubai AI Week to welcome industry leaders, experts, officials from over 100 countries

emirates7 - The Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) has unveiled the official agenda for the first-ever Dubai AI Week, scheduled to take place from April 21 to 25, 2025. Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum—Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of DFF’s Board of Trustees—the event aims to position Dubai at the forefront of global AI innovation.

Organised by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence and overseen by DFF, this global event will gather AI experts, innovators, policymakers, and business leaders from over 100 countries. Its goal is to enhance international collaboration and emphasize AI’s role in transforming government services, boosting economic growth, and building future-ready societies.

Seen as a milestone in the UAE’s ambition to become a global AI leader, Dubai AI Week will feature a wide range of initiatives, immersive experiences, and strategic collaborations.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Vice Chairman and Managing Director of DFF, highlighted Dubai’s growing reputation as a global hub for AI innovation and a magnet for the world’s leading tech companies. He attributed this progress to the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the continued support of Sheikh Hamdan.

“Dubai AI Week represents a significant step in accelerating AI adoption across governments and industries,” said Al Gergawi. “It reinforces our national strategy of prioritizing innovation and turning AI's potential into tangible outcomes.”

He added that the event will unite some of the brightest minds globally to co-smart, scalable solutions aimed at benefiting humanity and advancing technological progress. It will also serve as an international platform to share best practices and spark the next wave of AI-driven ideas and experimentation.

Al Gergawi emphasized the critical role of participation from both local and international government agencies. Dubai AI Week presents a prime opportunity for public-private collaboration, showcasing the latest breakthroughs in AI and exploring how emerging technologies can contribute to both economic and social development.

He also welcomed the participation of global pavilions, viewing it as an important avenue for knowledge exchange, talent showcasing, and opening doors for global partnerships.
