emirates7 - The Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry has revealed that Indian investors and business owners are the leading foreign nationals joining UAE chambers of commerce, with membership reaching approximately 225,000 companies by the end of Q1 2025.

In an interview with Emirates News Agency (WAM), Humaid Mohammed bin Salem, Secretary-General of UAE Chambers, stated that the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and India has played a key role in strengthening the evolving relations between the two countries, transforming them into a multi-faceted partnership, with business being a core element.
He also noted that non-oil bilateral trade between the UAE and India hit a record US$56.1 billion in the second year of CEPA’s implementation, a 10.1 percent increase compared to its first year.
Bin Salem emphasized that both countries aim to increase trade volumes to US$100 billion by 2030, highlighting the growing depth of their economic ties.
He reiterated that the UAE Chambers is dedicated to enhancing UAE-India trade relations and fostering business collaboration to achieve global competitiveness.
