Greek city of Thessaloniki gets new metro system with driverless trains

emirates7 - The metro system in Thessaloniki, a city in northern Greece, officially began operations on Saturday with the launch of driverless trains, according to the Associated Press.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, accompanied by President Katerina Sakellaropoulou and Transport Minister Christos Staikouras, initiated the long-awaited system by pressing a blue button to mark its start.
