Union Association for Human Rights affirms UAE's global leadership

emirates7 - The Union Association for Human Rights recently concluded its participation in the 57th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, where it highlighted the UAE's prominent role in advocating for human rights.

During the session, the Association was actively involved in various human rights initiatives, presenting more than 20 statements on key issues, including armed conflicts, racial discrimination, extremism, women's rights, and economic justice.

The Association underscored the UAE's dedication to upholding the rule of law, ensuring fair trials, and advancing digital and climate justice. It also emphasized the country's commitment to protecting the rights of all individuals, including women, People of Determination, workers, the elderly, and children. Additionally, the Association highlighted the UAE's achievements in combating racial discrimination, violence, and extremism while fostering a culture of peace, tolerance, and coexistence.

The Union Association for Human Rights drew attention to the UAE's initiatives to promote peace and resolve armed conflicts, as well as its significant contributions to humanitarian aid. It also noted the country's improved standing in international rankings related to the rule of law.

Moreover, the Association showcased the UAE's institutional efforts in promoting human rights, particularly its strong stance against all forms of racism. This position aligns with the principles of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action, reflecting the global commitment to eradicating racial discrimination and intolerance.
