GITEX Global 2024 set to accelerate world’s AI economy

emirates7 - GITEX Global, the world's largest tech event, is back in the UAE for its 44th edition, aiming to reshape the global digital economy and the AI landscape. The event will be held from October 14th to 18th at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), attracting over 6,500 exhibitors, 1,800 startups, and 1,200 investors from more than 180 countries, solidifying the UAE's role as a leader in AI-driven innovation.

Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President of DWTC, highlighted that "GITEX GLOBAL will feature extensive global collaborations and engagements, providing competitive advantages in the pursuit of digital supremacy."

With the global AI market expected to grow from $621 billion in 2024 to $2.7 trillion by 2032, the event will see more than 3,500 companies presenting advancements in AI, IoT, and cloud technology. Major participants include the Advanced Technology Research Council of Abu Dhabi, G42 Group, and leading global companies such as Adobe, Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Dell, Google, Huawei, Microsoft, Nvidia, Oracle, and Salesforce.

The event will offer over 120 hours of content dedicated to AI and will introduce the region’s largest Data Centre Symposium, setting the stage for the upcoming AI Everything Global 2025.

GITEX GLOBAL 2024 is marked by its largest international participation to date, with over 400 government and digital agencies and the addition of new exhibitors from countries like Austria, Singapore, and Kazakhstan.

Huawei's Senior Vice President, Leo Chen, noted that "GITEX GLOBAL serves as a distinctive platform for industry discussions on digital and intelligent transformation."
