Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Culture Department, accepted the award on behalf of His Highness during the festival's opening ceremony in Cairo, Egypt. The event was attended by several notable figures, including Dr. Ibrahim Saber Khalil, Cairo Governor; Dr. Ashraf Zaki, festival president and head of the Actors' Syndicate; Counsellor Saleh Al Saadi, UAE Embassy representative in Egypt; and Dr. Inas Abdel Dayem, Honourary President of the Festival and former Egyptian Minister of Culture. A large gathering of Egyptian and Arab artists, theatre professionals, and cultural personalities was also present.

In addition to honoring His Highness, the festival recognized other notable figures, including acclaimed actor Yehia El-Fakharany, director Samir Al-Asfoury, and, posthumously, the late actor Ahmed Rateb.

In his remarks, Abdullah Al Owais expressed his joy at attending the festival and conveyed greetings from His Highness, who expressed gratitude for the honor. Al Owais also praised the role of Egypt’s institutions in enriching Arab culture.

Dr. Ashraf Zaki commended His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah's dedication to Arab theatre, stating that his continuous cultural initiatives, both material and moral, have greatly contributed to the revival of Arab theatre. Zaki highlighted the importance of His Highness' support, including his contributions to playwriting and the establishment of a home for elderly artists in Egypt, which is highly valued by the artistic community.

The Egyptian Theatre Actors' Festival, founded in 2016 under the supervision of the Actors' Syndicate, aims to support and encourage young talent in acting and theatre. It provides a platform for emerging artists and allows different generations of syndicate members to showcase their skills through new theatrical works.
