emirates7 - Two US soldiers were killed after an Apache military helicopter from Fort Hood crashed into a field in Texas on Wednesday, also sparking a large grass fire.

Fort Hood said in a statement that an AH-64 Apache attack helicopter had crashed, killing two soldiers.

Cliff Coleman, an official in Bell County, said the incident occurred in the county, around 100 kilometres north of Austin, the state capital.
