emirates7 - A 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck east of Kokopo, Papua New Guinea, on Thursday, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).

The earthquake's epicentre was at a depth of 10 kilometres, the USGS said.

There have been no reports of casualties or material damage.
