emirates7 - A 5.0-magnitude earthquake jolted Gaoxian County, Yibin City, southwest China's Sichuan Province on Wednesday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Centre (CENC).

The epicentre was monitored at 28.54 degrees north latitude and 104.67 degrees east longitude.

The earthquake struck at a depth of 6 kilometres, the centre said.
