emirates7 - A 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck near the coast of central Chile at 02:34 GMT on Sunday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicentre, at a depth of 10 kilometres, was initially determined at 37.70 degrees south latitude and 73.19 degrees west longitude.
