Ajman Ruler announces release of 134 prisoners for Ramadan 2026

Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has ordered the release of 134 inmates from correctional and penal institutions in the Ajman Police General Command, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

UAE leaders often order the release of prisoners on such special occasions and religious holidays.

The decision was taken in recognition of their good conduct and behaviour during their sentence. The inmates also met the conditions for pardon and were deemed eligible to benefit from it and be exempted from the remaining term of their sentence.

The release order reflects the Ajman Ruler’s desire to bring happiness and hope to the inmates and their families, so they can fully enjoy the joy of reunion. It also shows his deep care for all members of society, regardless of their background.

Sheikh Humaid expressed his wishes for the released individuals to return to society and public life as good and upright individuals who contribute to strengthening its security and stability during the month of goodness, mercy and tolerance.

On this occasion, Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, for his order to pardon the convicts, which reflects his keenness to give the inmates the opportunity to become decent people and to reunite with their families, stressing that the release procedures for those released will begin immediately so that they can return to their families.
