The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command has finalized its security plan for the holy month of Ramadan.

As the month of Ramadan approaches, the plan focuses on enhancing field readiness, increasing security and traffic patrols to safeguard places of worship and markets, organizing traffic flow, especially during rush hours, and combating negative behaviors.

Authorities have warned of strict action against begging in Ras Al Khaimah during the holy month.

The emirate's police said it would take strict action against anyone attempting to beg or engage in illegal earning.

Extra security awareness campaigns and programs are set to be launched to educate the public, aiming to enhance the quality of security and improve community well-being by providing police and security services and addressing negative behaviors during the holy month.

This is aligned with the UAE Ministry of Interior’s strategy to enhance security, promote community well-being, and support sustainable development.

The authority's Central Operations Room and field teams are on full alert around the clock to receive inquiries and respond immediately to serve community members during the holy month. For emergencies, the public has been urged to call 999, and for inquiries or service requests, they can call 901.

Meanwhile, the Media and Public Relations Department will launch various cultural and security awareness programs through its platforms and media channels during the holy month.

This includes coverage of the “Ramadan Majlis” initiative, which highlights community Ramadan gatherings in residential neighborhoods under the umbrella of the Ministry of Interior, as well as coverage of the Police Ramadan Championship competitions.

The department, in cooperation with the traffic and patrol branches at comprehensive police stations, is promoting traffic awareness among road users and drivers in each area. It is also urging motorists to avoid speeding to reach iftar on time, emphasizing the importance of protecting lives and property.

Ras Al Khaimah Police further called on all community members to refrain from using fireworks and to enjoy the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan peacefully, wishing everyone safety and security throughout the month.
