Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, announced on social media the opening of a new laboratory at the Museum of the Future.
He made the announcement during the World Governments Summit 2026, where he introduced the Life and Biodiversity Laboratory, describing it as 'an innovative scientific experience'.
Sheikh Hamdan said the lab was established in collaboration with the US-based Colossal Foundation.
He explained that it is located in the Museum of the Future as the permanent home of the laboratory, ensuring the experience is accessible and open to everyone.
Sheikh Hamdan emphasised that the laboratory aims to “showcase advanced innovations that expand our understanding of the natural world while supporting global efforts to protect species from extinction.”
Reaffirming the vision behind the initiative, Sheikh Hamdan said, “Our goal is to inspire understanding and awareness, paving the way for a brighter future.”
