Ramadan is a special time for Muslims worldwide, and it becomes more special for those who plan to go to Saudi to perform Umrah during the holy month and visit the Prophet's mosque in Madinah.

In Islam, performing an Umrah during Ramadan equals completing a Hajj— an annual journey that many Muslims must do at least once in their lifetime if they are able to and is considered an important pillar of the Muslim faith.

To prepare for Ramadan 2026, religious scholars in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia unveiled the names of Imams who will lead the special Taraweeh and Tahajjud prayers all through the month. Taraweeh is a long night prayer that follows Isha prayer on each day of Ramadan, while Tahajjud is usually performed during the last ten days before Fajr prayer.

The schedule was released following the approval of the President of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al‑Sudais.

Here is the schedule including the names of those who will lead the special prayers in Masjid Al Haram this Ramadan:

As shown in the schedule, Tahajjud prayers at Masjid Al Haram during the last 10 nights of Ramadan will be partially led by Sheikh Al‑Sudais.
